Well, stay tuned…I’m going to re-download Waves V9 to see if I can get it to run properly with Cubase 6.5.
So, rather than the program reading the “O’s” as an incorrect choice… it still turned on the activation button, but gave me eLicenser too old prompt… Whats interesting is that if I didn’t assume all the “O’s” were “O’s” or all the zero’s were zero’s…then the program would not activate the activation button. When I try to start C:Program Files (x86)eLicenserPOSSYNSOPOS.exe I get a File not found error, even though the file is there. When I try to start C:\Program Files (x86)\eLicenser\POS\SYNSOPOS.exe I get a File not found error, even though the file is there. So, to recap…I must have mistakenly entered “O’s” instead of Zero’s and caused the program to error. Very weird that it would give me that eLicenser too old prompt because I entered the wrong but close code.

Just for giggles…before I actually did the upgrade, I decided to start Cubase 6.5 and apply the activation code from there…“BLAM!!!” It accepted the code the same as going directly through the eLicense Center.

Okay! I tried your idea again, but using all zero’s instead of O’s…and the eLicenser Center recognized the code as Cubase 6.5 (educational) even though I have the full retail version of Cubase 6, and was upgrading to the full version of Cubase 6.5… at least that is what my receipt says. Restart the reFX Cloud App and you should be able to successfully log. Check the boxes next to 'Use TLS 1.1.' and 'Use TLS 1.2' and then click 'Apply' near the bottom of the window. Click on the 'Advanced' tab at the top of the pop up window. So, NO elicenser with 11 first off and then with the USB, everything from. Type in 'Internet options' in the search field and press Enter. I had to move my AI license to the USB and have both of them work off of that. But even if that license is currently not shown or listed as transfer pending in the eLicenser Control Center, it will reappear once the license server availability is restored. 11 will NOT use elicenser, must use the USB. The non-upgradeable license on the eLicenser will still allow you to open Cubase 11 as usual. When purchasing a Steinberg application, you receive a license in addition to the software itself. If your software uses Steinberg Licensing introduced in January 2022, the following information is not relevant for you. I had trouble upgrading from AI which used elicenser. It seems fairly permanent for now but the problem might come back if we try to update to Cubase 12 or if a Windows OS update stops the old eLicenser Control Center from working so it is still concerning. Trying the maintenance function to repair the soft elicenser does not work either. If that fails, contact Steinberg support. Glad downgrading the eLicenser Control Center is working for you too. In e-licesner control center, UPGRADE your Cubase 6 license. More than likely, your activation code is zeros not the alpha “o”
